67% of women in the US wear a size 14 or above; however, these "plus sizes" are   responsible for only 16% of the $130B women’s apparel market.


 

Universal Standard was founded in 2015 to address this white space and create a size-inclusive line of modern essentials, with a chic, downtown but classic aesthetic – for women size 10 - 28.

The founders intimately understand the market opportunity and consumer psychology; they have created a direct-to-consumer brand that offers the elevated and modern essentials easily and until now exclusively found in straight size contemporary labels like Theory and Vince.
